This year, Bacs, the company that operates the UK’s Current Account Switch Service, has published a series of research papers that look at consumer engagement in the current account market. They partnered with University of Bristol to look closely at the motivators for, and barriers to, switching. The first and second papers in the series of reports were released earlier this year and focussed on providing an insight into the impact that trust and loyalty has on the propensity to switch.
They have now published the third research paper which focuses on how the Current Account Switch Service can help enable the creation of a better functioning market, by reducing the perceived barriers to switching current accounts.
