MiCA – new proposed EU Markets in Cryptoassets regime

On Wednesday 20 January at 4pm UTC, Ince hosted a webinar in cooperation with Lexology on the draft EU Markets in Cryptoassets (MiCA) Regulation.

On 24 September 2020, the EU adopted a new Digital Finance Package, an extraordinary development of the regulatory framework that is proposed to apply a range of ‘crypto’ assets, services and service providers – the stated aim is at improving the competitiveness of the FinTech sector, enabling crypto-assets to be offered within the regulated securities sector and protecting consumers.
